Athar Jameel Ahmed Business consultant & software builder

Let’s talk about
your business.

You know where you want to take it. I help you work out what technology would actually get you there, then build it with you.

Your goals first. No product to push. No team to pass you on to.

First I listen. Then we work out what would help.

Sell me your vision. Then buy my time.

01

Someone who sees
the whole business.

Your customers, your people and how you make money. Not just the part that needs software.

02

Advice that starts
with what you need.

Keep what works. Connect what does not. Build something new only when there is a good reason.

03

The person who listens
is the person who builds.

You work directly with me, from understanding the problem to helping your team use what we make.

Look at the whole business

Not just one part of it

Each part can work.
But does it work together?

Your marketing, sales and day-to-day work all affect each other. If the people and tools between them do not connect, you end up filling the gaps.

Which one sounds like your day?

We do not have to fix everything at once. But we do need to see how it all fits together.

An illustration of a situation we can talk through.

You’re the person joining it all up.

A customer has spoken to sales, but the people doing the work have not heard the whole story. Someone has changed a plan, but nobody has told marketing. You keep stepping in to explain.

What would change if your team could see what the others need?

I look at how the work moves through the business, talk to the people involved and find where the information stops.

Working with me

The conversation comes first

Tell me where
you want to take it.

Before choosing software, we need to understand what would make your business better. More sales? Room to grow? More time for the work that matters?

Your goals, your team, your customers. That is where we start.

I want to understand how the business makes money, how your people work and what you want to make possible. You do not need to turn that into a technical brief.

Working together, month by month

Part of your team.
Not just your project.

With a monthly arrangement, I spend agreed time inside your business. I join your meetings, learn your industry and get to know your people. We make decisions together, then I build what will help.

That could mean improving a daily process, connecting tools or creating software. We try it with the team, learn from how it is used and revisit the priorities as the business changes.

Talk about working together
A continuing conversation, with working software coming out of it.

An agreed monthly fee, across an agreed period. Spread the cost of the work while having me involved in the business. We agree the time, responsibilities and what is included. You know when I’m available and what a new request would change.

Not everything needs building

It might be a better use of a tool you already pay for. It might be a small piece of software. It might be something your business has never had before.

Ambitious does not have to mean complicated.

Stay lean.
Not small.

You should not have to choose between keeping costs sensible and building something ambitious.

I look at what your people need, what you already have and what is worth paying for. Sometimes that means building. Sometimes it means choosing better. Often it means making the pieces work together.

Things I’ve built

Real work, explained simply

Different businesses.
Real things to solve.

Your business will be different. These examples show how I turn an understanding of the work into something people can use.

A simple illustration of the GoPromo platform I built.

10,000+ audits completed, as reported by the client.

01 / GoPromo / Helping people become customers

Give people a reason to become a customer.

I built a website-checking tool for GoPromo. It shows a potential customer what needs fixing, sends them a useful explanation, and gives the team the information to do the work.

Marketing brings them in. Sales starts the conversation. The people doing the work know what was promised. The parts need to work together.

What I built and why

An illustration of the team coordination behind Agency Ops.

Built around the day-to-day work of a real agency.

02 / Agency Ops / Helping the team work together

Stop being the person everyone has to ask.

Who is waiting for an answer? What did we promise the customer? Where is the work getting stuck? I built a place for an agency team to answer those questions together, without searching through messages.

The point is not another app. It is giving people the information to do their jobs without making you the link between everyone.

What I built and why

An illustration of the permission controls in Nexus.

The code is public, so the controls can be examined.

03 / Nexus / Keeping you in control

Let software help. Keep the decisions that matter.

Some jobs can run on their own. Others need your permission. I built controls that let you decide what software may do, how much it can spend and when it must ask a person first.

You should be able to see what happened, understand why, and say no when it matters.

What I built and why

An illustrated example of how I prepare creative work.

A way of working, not a claimed customer result.

04 / Creative production / Making the work useful

Make something your team can actually use.

A promising picture is not always fit for a campaign. I built a repeatable way to create visuals, check the details, make corrections and prepare the files the team needs.

Technology should take work off your plate, not leave you with something else to fix.

What I built and why

These drawings explain the work. Customer information and private systems stay private.

Why work with me?

I learned business
before I learned
to build software.

I’ve managed enterprise customers, grown international markets, raised investment and led product and development teams. I know there is a business on the other side of every technical decision.

So I’ll ask how you make money, what your customers expect and what your people need. Then we can work out where technology will actually help.

I can become a regular part of how your team works: learning the business, helping with decisions and building the software. We agree the time, responsibilities and monthly fee together, so you know what you are getting.

A little more about me

No passing your idea down a chain of people. We work on it together.

In the room

Good questions.
Honest conversations.

I’m comfortable talking with a founder, sitting with the people doing the work, or explaining an idea to a room. Understanding each other is where useful work begins.

Speaking & recognition

A few things
you might ask.

Do I need to know what I want built?

No. Tell me what you want the business to achieve, or what is getting in the way. Figuring out whether you need new software is part of the conversation.

Will you want to replace all our tools?

No. If something works for your people, that matters. I’ll look at what can stay, what can work together and what is genuinely missing.

Is this all about AI?

No. It might be a website, an app, a calculator, a connection between tools or a better way to share information. AI can help with some jobs. The business decides the need, not the technology.

Can you work with us over time?

Yes. That is often where I can be most useful. I work with your team over an agreed period, learn how the business operates, help with decisions and build what we agree is needed. We set the time commitment and responsibilities before starting.

What does it cost?

We can agree a monthly fee across a defined period, covering both the software and my involvement with your business. The fee depends on the work and time needed. We agree what is included, the duration and how changes are handled before you commit.

What happens when I send you a message?

I’ll read it and reply to arrange a conversation. We’ll talk about your business, where you want to take it and whether I’m the right person to help.

This is where we start.

Sell me
your vision.

Tell me what you’re building, what you want the business to become, or what keeps getting in the way. We can work out the technology together.

You tell me what is happening. I’ll listen, ask questions and help you find a way forward.
