Deterministic physics
Every simulation step is fixed-point, pre-seeded, and yields the same result on both devices. No server authority. No desync. The puck is where you think it is.
Cold Orbit is a best-of-one duel in zero gravity. Two pucks. One anchor point. One thumb each. Every match is a new physics puzzle — deterministic, rollback-networked, 42-millisecond average ping. Lose and you re-queue instantly. Best-of-one is the whole product.
Every simulation step is fixed-point, pre-seeded, and yields the same result on both devices. No server authority. No desync. The puck is where you think it is.
Inputs are rolled back and replayed when late frames arrive. Sixteen frames of prediction, two frames of correction, zero frames of lag for the player.
A single Rust binary per region does the matchmaking and relay. Forty-two-millisecond average ping across the US-Europe ocean. It fits in 11MB.
